Nityanandam Ayurveda Rare Ayurvedic Information Greetings (Namaskaram)! I am Yogi Nitya. Are you aware, that if one evacuates one’s bowels once a day, then he is a Yogi (Mystic) if twice, then he is a ‘Bhogi’ (Pleasure Seeker), if this happens multiple times or not at all, then he is a ‘Rogi’ (Patient). Which means, that if your bowels get cleared once a day, mostly in the morning, then understand that your stomach, is not sending any wrong indication. You are healthy. If the evacuation happens at multiple times, or is occurring in installments. The job does not get done once, you go once, and then again have the urge to evacuate, and you feel that, you still have uncleared bowels. Or as soon as you finish your meals, you feel the urge to evacuate. Some people raised this query. I also noted some questions. Some asked that on having the meals, they have the urge to evacuate. It feels as if the bowels are about to get cleared, they go to the toilet, sometimes, their bowels get cleared, and sometimes, it does not. Some people complained that, that when they go to the toilet, the feces has a loose consistency. What is this problem? They are not relaxed, even after bowels are cleared, there is some dissatisfaction. Stools with a well-bound consistency, is a very good sign. Stools with a well-bound consistency means, that the food was digested well. If along with the stools having a well-bound consistency, it has a porous appearance, the pieces of the fecal matter, is porous, then it indicates, the presence of gas in the body. If it has an unbounded consistency, then it is obviously a sign of gas in the body, it also indicates a lot of other things like, the fact that the digestive power in your body is weak. It is not good enough, for your stomach to absorb all the nutrition. Some people face this difficulty of dysentery. When they go for evacuation, there is a sticky discharge in stools, or there is always a feeling of heaviness in the stomach. I have had many people visit me, who, at the concluding part of the last intestine, which is called the rectum… they have a sense of pressure in that area. Although this has some connection with stress… When someone stresses more about something, this may also cause such a sensation. Mostly, we link this to our wrong eating habits. People do not pay attention to their food, They eat white flour (Maida), and Chinese, They binge on junk food, biscuits etc. They eat just about anything, without giving it a thought. Initially, it is okay, but when the system goes for a toss, later the problem arises. I noted down some more questions, where they mentioned that, they have to go for evacuation 3-4 times a day. This is their problem. Someone mentioned that they have Colitis. that they have an inflammation in their intestines, or sometimes, people have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, where they feel a repetitive urge to evacuate, or at some times, people feel constipated. They are unable to pass their stools. Today, I will talk about the condition, in which one needs to go to the toilet repeatedly, which is not correct. Once a day evacuation, or in some circumstances, evacuation twice a day, morning and evening is acceptable. You need not worry about this. If someone needs to evacuate twice, this means that he eats more frequently. He will need to maintain a gap between meals. Because he does not keep enough time interval between meals, and eats in haste, which may lead to his passing stools twice a day. I had prepared a diet plan, especially for Colitis. You may also take a look at that diet plan, I have added a link below this video, in the description box. It will take you to our website, and it will be a written diet plan. I have advised very few food items, to be taken by a Colitis patient. You can gradually start eating at least that much food, and if that is easy to digest, then you can increase the diet. Which means that, you can increase the quantity of the food, You can also change the food type, for example, can add Bread (Roti), which I have not mentioned in the beginning. I have mentioned about Dalia (Porridge), Poha (flattened rice), etc. On that page, I have also advised, what is the right time to drink water, how much water to drink in the morning, for such people who have numerous visits to the toilet. For all the problems that I discussed, for people suffering from all those conditions, it is good to take a look at the diet plan, although you may not follow it 100%. You will get an idea and have an indication, about post-breakfast/meals, after how much time should one drink water? When did I advise you to eat… what should be the ideal time for dinner? You will get a very clear idea after taking a look at it. Right below this video, in the description box, there is a link to that diet plan. You can check that out. For the time being, in the context of this topic, there is some important information, about what you should do, which I will brief you about. I will also tell you about a small Ayurvedic remedy. I don’t think, that you need a long list of medicines, for resolving this problem. When people come to me they are very anxious, as if don’t know what has happened, and wonder how many medicines will be needed? But all the medicines are not required for the stomach. Just the need to change a few habits. You will get a lot of relief. In the morning take a bowl of curd, to that, you have to add, half a banana to start with, and beat both very well. After beating these, add some brown sugar (Shakkar) not the white sugar, but brown sugar, and not even jaggery. After adding the sugar, eat it slowly in the morning. This combination of curd and banana, is for people, who have to go to the toilet, very frequently, or those who have loose motions, bowels are loose, the stools gradually start to be well-formed. This will not cause you any constipation, do not think that this may cause you constipation. But still, people who have stools of mushy consistency, if you give this to them for a few days, 15-20 days daily… Later, if you wish you can have this daily, if you wish to eat this after a break of 1-2 days, can do so after a month or two. But, please add this to your life. People suffering from Colitis, should have a little pomegranate, one fistful each in the morning and evening, which I have already mentioned in that diet. You can take a look at it, through the link as given under this video. But let us discuss, about the pressure while passing stools, these are the signs of weak intestines. When the intestines become weak, then quickly after eating food, you feel the pressure build up to pass stools. In fact, it is the previous days waste lying in the colon, that gets pressurized and moves out. The clearing of the bowels in half an hour does not mean, that, whatever you had just eaten, has moved out of your body, NO. This means that, the build of the pressure of the freshly eaten food, on the waste already lying in the colon caused its elimination. Let us understand, what is that Ayurvedic experiment, and how it is to be done? You have to visit an Ayurvedic medicine dealer, who sell pre-packaged products, tablets and powders, and ask for Bilwadi powder (churan), This is the same that you all offer to Lord Shiva… its leaves and its fruits. This is the powder of its fruit. The fruit along with its seed is crushed, to make the powder. This is useful, for those whose bowels cannot hold the waste for the proper duration. For such people, at night, take 1 teaspoon of this powder, and add it to a glass or clay pot, and add a glass of water to soak this. In the morning, boil it well on a low flame. Remember not to use an Aluminium pot to boil it. It is a rule in Ayurveda, that Aluminium pot should not be used. You can use a steel pot to boil it, or boil it in the clay pot, in which this was soaked. Boil it the next morning, and when the solution becomes less than half of the original quantity, Strain it and sip it slowly… when it has become lukewarm. You should not drink it when it is very hot. This should be taken 1/2 hour before, taking the morning curd remedy, as already discussed. Sip it slowly and then after 30 minutes, eat your curd and banana mixture. I must tell you something, about this combination of curd and banana, it is absolutely important to beat the curd really well. You cannot have the banana along-side the curd. since beating makes the curd of cold potency, while if you eat chunks of curd, that turns hot. You have to follow this experiment. If the problem is chronic, then you can soak it in the morning, and boil it that evening and have it. I don’t think that should be even needed. In the first week, have it only once a day. If you find some relief, then you can invest one more week, and it will get cured. Otherwise, there is Bael Murabba (Marmalade), or its candy is also available. Although in Colitis, sweet intake is prohibited, in which case, this decoction, is given twice a day. We do not give them Bael candy or Murabba (Marmalade). But, if you do not have colitis, you can have sweet foods. There is no harm in taking this. You can have the marmalade in the afternoon or evening. Although curd and banana mixture should not be taken in the evening, as curd is not given after sunset. If you have the Bael marmalade in the evening… In the morning, curd has provided strength to your stomach, and Bael marmalade did so in the evening. Once a day you would have had the decoction. If you do only this much then all the problem such as, dysentery, or mucus in the stools, or when someone has an inflammation in the stomach, which can also be treated with this, but takes a little time. It takes about 2-4 months, and the rules for food, I have already asked you, to take a look at the link below this video. There is a piece of important information regarding food, that if your bowels are being repetitively getting cleared, and you wish to bind the bowels, foods that have skin, like, eat a peeled apple. If your stomach does not get cleared at all, then you should eat the apple with its skin. Let’s put it this way, that if you are healthy, then you can have all foods with the skin, but if you have colitis or have diarrhea, then you should have split lentils for a few days. When the digestion starts improving, then you can have whole lentils. Stay away from whole lentils. Eating the peeled apple, will help to bind the food in the stomach, If you follow these small tips… You should chew food well, and do not eat in large quantities, enough to get digested. I am not asking you to have frequent meals. The quantities and the meal timings, are all mentioned in the link with the diet plan below this video. That is all for today. Goodbye (Namaskaram)! After eating the fruit and throwing away its seed, that was not a seed, but a responsibility, cast on us by our Universal Master. Come, let us all plant more trees!!
