– Lymphoid malignancies are a
disease of the immune system, which is a component of our blood. And sometimes they present as a disease just of the blood, and, other times, they present as diseases of the lymph nodes, ’cause that’s where a lot of
our lymphocytes like to go. There are different
treatment options available for patients with a lymphoid disorder. Because there are so many different types of lymphoid malignancies, we are able to look at
a patient individually and identify what we can use to help target your disease
specifically for you. And one way we do that is by looking at certain markers of your disease, as well as genetic, or even
molecular level markers that we are now recognizing
as more important in identifying how patients
will do, longer-term.
