I am a Registered Nurse (28 yr.) and have worked in the GI Lab for well over 15 years. Very frustrating for me to stand by and listen to an MD give wrong advice and medications to patients. I have come close to leaving the medical profession as I believe big pharma has taken over medical schools and research. I can not blame most MD's for the treatment they prescribe as we all have to study the curriculum we are given to pass and obtain our degree, even if that curriculum is based on fake science. I believe Statin and Proton Pump Inhibiting drugs are such a huge scam among many others. God Bless you and keep up the good work
i've been on Keto for a couple of months & have lost weight and body fat – as a patient with high BP and high cholesterol plus family that have died of a heart attack, I'm always monitoring my stats – this time I was going to ignore the HDL/LDL but pay attention to the Triglycerides – I'm shocked to find out that my Triglycerides have gone up significantly – any ideas why this might be? I don't really know what to do going forward! Thanks, Karen
This is amazing to hear. I'm in my late 40s have lived with high triglycerides my whole life and what you're saying is the exact opposite of what I've been hearing since early 80s. I prefer to do what you're saying haha thank you for this information
Hi Dr. Berry, I hope you get this. I have high cholesterol (660) and high Triglycerides (950) and I feel that the Kenogenic diet will help me. I'm only 10 pounds over weight and I noticed that HCT oil has Triglycerides in it will that type of Triglycerides effect my high triglycerides in a negative way if HCT is taken?
My Doctor orders tests and labs then every 3 months reads results to me.i have asked questions on how to fix problems and was told I have a pill to fix anything but he knows I will not take them. I am left to figure it out on my own. This new medical wave is very upsetting! Doctors don’t want to cure or fix problems , just monitor it. Thank the Lord for the internet Doctors that have guided me with recommendations to better control my heath. Thank You!
Was having heart problems, though they insist no blockage, narrowing, or heart disease. BP very good. TTL Cholesterol was only 3 pets high and Dr insisted on statin. Killed my joints. Felt like crap. He said to take for 6 weeks and do another lipid panel. Total Chol. Went UP from 203 to 236 and LDL went up from 114 to 158. 🤦🏽♀️. I even asked him if I could just change my diet and fix it for 3 pets and he said no. 😡. I don’t trust these guys anymore. Dr. ken knows what’s going on. Wish he lived closer.
Can you do a video on a good diet for follicular lymphoma. Dear friend lost her spleen in a car accident, and now has been diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Not trusting docs here.
I'm in NZ, my Triclycerides are 2.1 mg … I have just received a note from my Doctor to stop eating saturated fats, eat more wholemeal carbs, eat lots of fruit, to eat margarine instead of buttter … I rarely drink alcohol, never drink sodas, don't eat simple carbs and eat fats from natural sources. I've lost almost 40 Kgs!! … yet Doctor has given me six months to get my triclycerides down … I've put on weight over the years by adhering closely to the current food pyramid … only when I changed my fat sources did I begin to lose weight and am still losing. No matter what I say to them, they keep sending me things that I'm doing it wrong. Yet they never commend me for losing weight or halving my blood sugars. It's so frustrating when I'm eating good fresh food and they want me to eat plastic food.
Coconut oil lower triglycerides by consuming 3 table spoons everyday , I am from Philippines we have many Virgin coconut oil you can order to me if you want
There’s more to it than this. My triglycerides are sky high and I have not had a soda in maybe 30 years, don’t eat sugars, candy, fruit juice and am maybe 20 lbs overweight but that’s not huge. Something else is a factor and no one can figure it out. 🙁
This particular cholesterol guide “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it) is the latest tutorial I simply began to try out. This solely thanks to the recommendation given by my medical doctor thus I can get the cholesterol decreased. I had taken one caplet daily for two months well before I had my labs. It has dropped my cholesterol level to 30 points. I certainly will go on utilizing this solution and also suggest it to my relatives. .
Firstly, thank you Dr. Berry for all the knowledge and incites you share. I'm commenting, mostly ranting in frustration, not about anything you do, but on my Dr. You've stated in previous videos, there are Drs out there that are still holding on to old outdated thoughts on treating patients! I just came home from a long awaited follow up visit to my Dr, the Dr that diagnosed me with CKD and Diabetes 2, he also prescribed metformin. I've know about my fatty liver for quite sometime but none of my Drs every stressed any danger so I basically forgot about other than the occasionally pain!
Since visiting him 3.5 months ago I've gone through a transformation of losing over 30 lbs! down from 209 lbs to this morning that I weighed 172.2 lbs! I follow a Keto/paleo mix with intermittent fasting. This Dr and he's a very old Dr, totally forgot about his diagnoses and asked me about my knees! I said my knees are fine and that I'm not here about my knees and that I'm eager for my lab work as I'm anxious to know if my A1C has come down. I told him about the lifestyle changes I've made and my weight loss and he immediately stated that I needed to stop it, that I was starving myself and it was too extreme! he stated I needed to be on a no fat diet as fat will clog my arteries! . I told him that I bought a glucometer and do BS every day, he said I needed to stop that as it was a waist of my time! He said more but I won't bore you and totally ignored my request for lab work, well not the lab work I would have thought he should have ordered. He finally let me go with a referral to a nephrologist, hepatologist and ordered a CBC? Luckily the nurse was more understanding and she added the A1C and a fasting glucose and kidney function, I would have liked a metabolic panel but didn't want to press my luck.
Which is why I'm here today, can someone tell me or comment from their experience, will my Triglycerides come down if my Diabetes 2 and A1C is coming down? I would appreciate any thoughts and please forgive the raving of an old man in his 70s!
I had my results in from bloodtest its scaring me its high and i have chronic kidnes desis i had a viral virus kidnes function went from 88 procent to 68 bad cholesterol was high 235 iam 36 years 1.59 m my weight is 63kg the doctor sad you need to lose weight thats all iwork out 5 days a week and i like patatoes rice and pasta bread what can i eat instead of those please help hi from belgium
What about cream, I can't drink milk and most cheeses, except goat and feta, but I can handle grass fed double cream.. can I eat that often or is it too saturated…? My triglycerides were low and now they went up to 179, because I was becoming a little more vegetarian, because where I am there is no grass fed meat!! So I should stop being vegetarian? My new breakfast was 3 fruit ( small amount) 3 nuts and 3 seeds ( flax, sesame, chia) with almond milk! ) when I'm not IF ( 8/16) …my thyroid went off again!! 🙁 TSH 6000+….help
I have artery disease and one heart stent and A1C of 8.1, I just went low carb two months ago. I just know my cardiologist is going to tell me my cholesterol is going up. How can I tell him I don’t want more Lipidor
I went on Keto. Lost 15 lbs. And now weigh in at 102lbs/5ft. My cholesterol went up 30 pts to 370 and my LDL went up to 255. Tri=102……HDL = 92 How do I explain that????
…this information never seen on the news shows. Hmm…couldn't have anything to do with the fact that those "news shows" are all sponsored by Coke, Mountain Dew, six brands of pizza, and a host of other worthless crap, now, could it?
Hi I am a middle aged man 56 who had his first heart attack two years ago had a stent put in also on blood thinners high blood pressure meds Lipitor and plavx my doctor said I would be on it for life what is your take on this
Many doctors are overpaid fools. I'm a physicist and I teach physics classes. Many of my worst students are med students, who just try to memorize all the problems instead of learning the mechanics and logic of physics. Dr. Berry is an exception, he has great advice.
Are you say fruit juices in terms of fresh juice from fruits i.e. squeezed from fresh oranges or are you talking about things processed like Tropicana etc. ? Or both?
Ok I can drop the sugar but my Apple juice in my daily smoothie…. u would think God would want you to drink quality Apple juice and other natural juices
Other doc don’t know thing about diet or the crock companies in India or China who make our meds ,my dr told me all you hear about statin is witch hunt 😡
I will understand if you get more important questions, got a spot on my liver. My doctor never answered, how, is it bad, what to do, is it important.??
LIfesaving information, thanks doc! My doc wants to put me on statins for elevated sugars. Fat chance. I am going to fix this nutritionally. Very grateful for your series. Told a lot of people!
10 years ago my husband died of liver disease. What can I say? I didn't have all of this information where I could have helped him. He was under the care of a doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix where we lived. It makes me heart sick. God bless you for getting the word out.
Well, Dr Berry you are right. I am 64 and went on a semi-keto diet. Lost 30 pounds. But…I never stopped eating chocolate with sugar. Hence, my triglycerides are high, even though I take a triglyceride pill. I needed to hear your video. Besides this triglyceride level, I see that my free T-4 is low and my TSH is high. I started taking supplemental iodine. Do you think this will help? Thanks in advance.
I have been on a strict Keto diet over 14 months, lost 50 lbs. I now weight 135lbs which is what I have weighed most of my adult life. My Blood sugar is usually below 80 and my blood pressure around 107 over 65, my resting pulse is usually around 56. Exercised a lot most of my adult life. But my cholesterol hasn't changed, still around 350+, what would you recommend?
Question? do sugar substitutes (stevia) effect your triglycerides? I have lost 10 lbs since my last dr visit doing keto. (40yr old, male, 30lbs over weight…now 20lbs overweight) and my triglycerides went up (100 to 160) my hdl went down (39 to 36) and my ldl went up (166 to 176.) Mu ldl is pattern b… small particle size on both test.
More info:
I would say i was in better physical shape on the second test and certainly less weight. The only thing i can think that would of made my numbers go the wrong way is stevia type sugar alternatives. Another difference was fish oil… I did not take fish oil on the second test becasue I am getting an allergy shot and I could not eat fish those 6 weeks.
Question 2: Do fish oils change lipid profiles?
I rarely went over 30 carbs per day. My continuous blood sugar monitor has me at 89 average blood sugar.. a1c=4.9ish. (i have never been diabetic) Very little alcohol if any at all.
7 years ago my triglycerides were up near 600. i was drinking allot of diet coke and processed food. The keto diet back then drastically reduced that number.
After 3-4 attempts at statins, I was dx as statin resistant. I didn't like them or the PPI's… I'm a retired RN and know the inherent dangers of these drugs. I've convinced mostly all members of my family not to take them. I have a couple who still insist on the PPI's for their GERD bc the dr prescribed it… ugh. My cholesterol has been high for over 20 yrs… the only way it came down was to go vegan for a yr and then it came down from 364 to 250 but I experienced hair loss, saggy skin and ridged fingernails but lost 40 lbs… the first 20 in the first month. I also felt fatigued more easily.. I am now on Keto for 2 wks and lost 4 lgs. I am 71.
The sugar industry lobbied organizations like the FDA and the USDA to con people into thinking fat makes you fat, which isn’t true. It’s sugar that makes you fat. Any unused energy from sugar is stored as fat in your body.
I just want to say big big big thank you for your information and inspiration about how to casually and naturally live our life healthy. Also to share my story so that maybe people with the same situation will set back a bit and not terrified with your breakthrough information and method.
I am 28 years old and i have a very absurd condition especially with my Triglyceride. 1 year ago my fasting Triglyceride was over 500 for months. The highest was 1.300 and the lowest was 600. It all happened just like what your videos talk about: my doctor gave me pills and suggest me to avoid fat.
I personally enjoyed eating whole grains (afterall the staple food of Indonesia is rice, most of the food here is so high in carbs and sugar). But after i watched your videos and try to research and compare things, i put my total trust in what you are saying.
Now i am highly motivated than ever to try the ketogenic diet. I found out it really was not that hard to start ketogenic way of eating since carbs and sugar are already so bad in my mind. I just started for 1 week and everything is good.
Looking forward to go to the lab next month to test how eating more fat will make my Triglyceride down. I’ll make sure myself to update my condition later on as my ketogenic diet goes on to prove your theory.
Dr. Berry, I'm looking for these studies, and non of the links I'm clicking on are it. I need something to bring to my endocrinologist… a nutritionist who insists I take a statin and touts all the incorrect info you're talking about. If I can bring her reputable studies, than I can be more credible than a youtube warrior (something she's dismissed me as). Can you please respond to this with some of these studies? Thanks.
My Doctor is pushing for me to take statins and I absolutely REFUSE to do it….he will argue with me about it. Going to see him tomorrow and know he is going to come down on me about the high triglycerides…
Thanks for this info. I have both high colestoral and triglycerides. I'm trying to lower both. I am taking meds for both. my question is can I eat wheat bread?
I was told my triglycerides are high in recent blood work I had done during a physical. They just said exercise more and change your diet. Couldn’t really tell me what to change. Lol. Thank you for this video. My question is would beer be on the list as a sugary drink as well? And what types of foods should I be focusing my diet around? Thank you so much
Are dehydrated Apple slices bad? I know Apple has natural sugars. Just looking for a healthier snack and I like apples. I've lost 35 pounds cutting out sugars and white stuff.
We are being lied to by medical practitioners and big pharma! Only go to the doctors when you absolutely have to! The internet has better information, from millions of viewers, that tell you that they're doing fine on these diets "without medications". You don't need medicine, you just need healthy foods! Ever since I cut out alcohol, cigarettes & all sugar and started a keto diet my BP went from 144/94 to 105/65 in three months with only walking for exercise..I don't know what my cholesterol is because I stopped seeing the doctors years ago after they tried to get me to take statins again because my cholesterol was at 230! I've had 230 cholesterol for about 40 years. The lowest I've ever had was 190, but that was after a complete 24 hour fast before the test. I'll take the chance and just eat right, instead of taking pills!
Oh and from changing my habits, I now save $300 a month!!
My own buddy had been identified as having quite high cholesterol level and had been put on medical care. He doesn`t prefer to take seafood thus this was a simple choice for him. He started out utilizing this cholesterol tutorial “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it). Soon after 2-3 weeks his levels have reduced and also the medicine are super easy to take on. This treatment does not leave you a negative taste. .
My purpose is to get my cholesterol to drop right from 245 to 199, the least, withthis cholesterol guide “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it). The good thing is, in only a matter of 3 weeks, I have it reduced to 216. I accomplished it without the need of doing main adjustments on my very own diet plan. .
I got tested 2016 Dec and my cholesterol was alil high by 9 points but everything else was amazing triglycerides were in the 50's.. I was overweight and eating anything and everything but for the most part lots of fat and junk food fried food soda candy almost no fruits or veggies or anything healthy but I do Fast on a daily for 18 hours or more up to 24.. I wonder what my triglycerides are now that I'm eating healthier, I also do bodybuilding though so maybe that helped it trips me out though to think that my triglycerides were so low especially since I was in the standard American diet for years but again I love fasting and I've been fasting for a couple years.. my good cholesterol was also high i did consume lots of omega 3 tho so yep confusing.
I have already been implementing this cholesterol guidebook “Hοzantο Axy” (Google it) for high cholesterol level. Have been working with it for quite a few months and also have witnessed my Cholesterol level numbers dropped enough that I tend not to argue with my Doctor. any longer. I cannot consider Stalin as a result of sight problems. I expect my upcoming blood check-up. .
couple months ago after months and months of saying "i have to get off gluten" i had an attack (thats all i can call it) of stomach burning like fire and reflux like no bodies business. The only thing that eased it was milk. Like over half a gallon a day. Yes high calorie and high sugar but hey you do what you have to do. So to fix it, I instantly dropped bread, pasta, potatoes. Then had a rebound on rice. So that went. Still had a reaction to tomatoes and onions so out that went. Tea and artificial sweeteners followed. Increased my good fats. Ate moderate meat. It took several weeks but then i didnt need milk any more and i feel a LOT better. Started taking manuka honey, mastic gum, DGL (licorice), camomile tea, green tea, magnesium, D3. Been a while since i felt this good and my blood pressure has gone down a little. Hoping to lose some weight with this diet and get that under control too so i can get off those meds.
8:35 I miss my sweet tea so much. I used to drink that more than water. At least 1 cup of sugar to 2 qts of tea… I know, I know 🙁 I drink unsweetened tea now, not the same but I don't miss the lbs I've lost!
Dr. Berry. My triglyceride number has been around 3,000. The highest my dr has seen. And it’s starting to freak me out. I try to stay close to keto, but I have really high sugar. When my sugar gets down to about 120-135 I get the shakes and need a bag of chips to feel better. Plus I drink a lot of beer. I think the beer may be the problem. Is this what’s raising mine to 3000. Please help. Thanks
Doctor Barry I had my blood work done 4 weeks ago and the only thing they were concerned about was my cholesterol it had went up. They never said anything about triglycerides . I just shook my head. They don't seem to care that i have my blood sugar under control. Or that I'm losing weight. They are concerned about my blood pressure because it is all over the place. 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Thank you dr,. Berry. I am working on my fatty liver almost a year. And I lost some weight, and I'm eating bacon and eggs, I am feeling fine. Full of energy and good mood. Thank you
Hi Dr. Berry. I am a diabetic and who has thrived on a Keto diet.I have recommended you to many, many people and you have helped the all. I have cut out half the medications I was on before and cut in half many of the others. Blood sugar and blood pressure both are normal and I am lobbying my cardiologist to cut out the beta blocker he has me on when I see him next month. A couple years ago I had two stents put in two minor arteries and was prescribed Plavix post-procedure, but it doesn't work for me and I ended up having a minor heart attack with no damage. So I was put on Brilinta, a beta blocker (metoprolol) and, now, Ranexa. My challenge now is my triglycerides and that has me stumped. On my last blood test, my normally low cholesterol was up, which I expected and am fine with, but my triglycerides were really high as well. Granted, the first time we took the test I had not been fasting and had drunk a couple cups of bulletproof coffee. But even on a retest it was higher than it had been pre-Keto. Of course, the doctor immediately wanted to put me on a new med and I have, so far, refused. He also wants me to stay on a smaller dose of Lipitor for cardio support (my GP and my diabetes specialists are double-teaming me on this and, so far, I am still taking a half dose, but I want off of it). What I'm taking: Victoza, Metformin, Brilinta, Ranexa, lisinopril (another prophylactic dose), Lipitor and Metoprolol. Eating Keto helped me lose 50 pounds since I started it in February, but my weight loss has stalled and I think changing medications and dropping medications will help with it. I expected that cutting out sugars and starches completely would normalize all of my numbers except cholesterol — triglycerides were a borderline concern before, but I would have thought they would drop down to a typical keto level. What's up? Am I missing something?
Sweet tea is all over the county. It’s literally advertised at every single McDonald’s. Even Walmart’s in Oregon and Arizona and so on have Milos sweet tea bottles that come from Alabama lol
I've had high cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides for as long as I can remember. Was prescribed statins for years until reading more about them and stopped. Was told a few years ago I had mild fatty liver, but not to worry, no advice given. Have been a sugar junkie for years (no alcohol though…yuck). Have gone from a fudge kick to an ice cream addiction. Recently have been very bloated at bedtime, have developed intermittent severe right-sided chest wall pain with negative CXR. Told doc without any advice given since CXR was negative. "Maybe it's costochondritis or your fibromyalgia worsening," was all they said. After searching internet and listening to Dr. Berry and others, I'm stopping all sugar! I think the right-sided chest pain is my liver begging me to stop living on sugary foods! I expect to feel better in a while. Thanks, Dr. B.!
Your patient’s cardiologist did not tell her to drink fruit juice and eat simple sugars. He told her to eat whole grains. Granted, they are only slightly better than “simple” sugars. 😄
Hello Dr Berry. What do You suggest if I have been low carb/keto for 3 yrs @ less than 30 total grams of carbs daily and still have high triglycerides @187?

This is amazing to hear. I'm in my late 40s have lived with high triglycerides my whole life and what you're saying is the exact opposite of what I've been hearing since early 80s. I prefer to do what you're saying haha thank you for this information
Thank you Doc, it is really good information
How would the 95 lb, 57 year old put on weight? My cholesterol is high both bad and good and I sure don't want a statin. Can you help??
Hi Dr. Berry, I hope you get this. I have high cholesterol (660) and high Triglycerides (950) and I feel that the Kenogenic diet will help me. Still don’t see test results as promised.
How foods high in cholesterol effect cholesterol level Dr.Berry?
I didn't see the link to the study from 2012. Does anyone have that link?
I love this man. I wish he was my doctor!
What can't I'll drink so my triglycerides stay low

Almost all Doctors in India says dont drink soda/fruit juices/fast food/packed foods..
Simple original Indian food is d key to success.

I have artery disease and one heart stent and A1C of 8.1, I just went low carb two months ago. I just know my cardiologist is going to tell me my cholesterol is going up. How can I tell him I don’t want more Lipidor
Gracias gracias 🙋🏻♀️🌹 por poner subtítulos 😘🤭
I went on Keto. Lost 15 lbs. And now weigh in at 102lbs/5ft.
My cholesterol went up 30 pts to 370 and my LDL went up to 255.
Tri=102……HDL = 92
How do I explain that????
…this information never seen on the news shows. Hmm…couldn't have anything to do with the fact that those "news shows" are all sponsored by Coke, Mountain Dew, six brands of pizza, and a host of other worthless crap, now, could it?
I don’t eat any of that and have high triglycerides.
Hi I am a middle aged man 56 who had his first heart attack two years ago had a stent put in also on blood thinners high blood pressure meds Lipitor and plavx my doctor said I would be on it for life what is your take on this
Why my triglycerides go up on keto? They were normal before. And now my lipid profile is a disaster. High cholesterol, ldl, triglycerides, low hdl.
? Or both?
Are there any particular supplements I can injest to lower my triglycerides?
Great info, now it all makes sense why people continue to have fatty liver disease.
Pharma/medical industries just want "repeat" customers!
Dear dr. Ken Berry, a warm hi from Indonesia.
Much love and respect,
Stephen.
Thanks.
Where should my cholesterol numbers, including triglycerides be? HDL and LDL?
BRAVO!!
My Doctor is pushing for me to take statins and I absolutely REFUSE to do it….he will argue with me about it. Going to see him tomorrow and know he is going to come down on me about the high triglycerides…
Is oatmeal good to eat with high triglycerides
Thanks for this info. I have both high colestoral and triglycerides. I'm trying to lower both. I am taking meds for both. my question is can I eat wheat bread?
I was told my triglycerides are high in recent blood work I had done during a physical. They just said exercise more and change your diet. Couldn’t really tell me what to change. Lol. Thank you for this video. My question is would beer be on the list as a sugary drink as well? And what types of foods should I be focusing my diet around? Thank you so much
Dr. Berry, it is so refreshing to see a doctor be so passionate about the misguidance that is being given to people! Thank you for what you do!!
Are dehydrated Apple slices bad? I know Apple has natural sugars. Just looking for a healthier snack and I like apples. I've lost 35 pounds cutting out sugars and white stuff.
A heart dr told me he thought every person in the world should be on a statin bad cholesterol or not!
I expect my upcoming blood check-up. .
Where is this study? You said you would post it!
What about a fruits and honey???
couple months ago after months and months of saying "i have to get off gluten" i had an attack (thats all i can call it) of stomach burning like fire and reflux like no bodies business.
What causes plague in arteries?
3:36 hahaha same in Texas– "What kind of coke do you want?"
"Id like a Big Red please"😂
Where is the link to the study?
8:35 I miss my sweet tea so much. I used to drink that more than water. At least 1 cup of sugar to 2 qts of tea… I know, I know 🙁
I drink unsweetened tea now, not the same but I don't miss the lbs I've lost!
Dr.
by using a keto diet for a year, my triglycerides fell 54 points
8:09 Isn’t bread and pasta a complex carbohydrate? They take a while to be absorbed into your blood, they aren’t immediate at all.
I lost 55 pounds in the year. of keto. between physicals…my triglycerides went down from 122, to 49..but LDL went up and overall cholesterol went up,
Hi Doctor Ken just want to ask my mom has a pacemaker, can I let her undergo Keto or low carb diet?
465 people that don't want to be educated…lol..can't treat stupid 🤔🤷♂️🤦♂️
Hi, Dr Berry!☺️ Thanks for speaking on this much needed topic.
Doctor, do I need to do a keto diet? I DON'T eat a lot of those foods any more. Please answer. Thanks
🦋❤️💯👍🏽sharing!!
Well I’m about to make some bacon 🥓
Dr. Berry—- is Zevia soda safe?
can't find the link to the study
Wish Dr Berry was still practicing. Very very hard to find a good doc here in West Tn
Hello Dr Berry. What do You suggest if I have been low carb/keto for 3 yrs @ less than 30 total grams of carbs daily and still have high triglycerides @187?
