That was breathtaking.
You know when some idiot comments on a spoken word video 'this isn't poetry, 'this doesn't have rhythm' 'this is just someone shouting into the microphone' … I shall point them to this video, it feels like a 'traditional' poem being read out, and the meaning (at least to me) is kind of unclear, and yet it's amazing, and kinda breath taking to hear aloud…And if I'm getting really into this, Sarah Kay said in her TED talk about how spoken word is poetry the demands to be heard… I feel like this wouldn't've been happy just sitting in the page ^,^
I've never had a poem hit me quite like this one…
Amazing. Incredible. Breathtaking. Astounding. These words do not do this justice…but my God they all ring true.
"i can storm too" chills
Someone needs to break this down for me.
Mind and body at war. That was amazing.
Holy shit, just wow.
This is by far the best poem I've ever heard
"Suicide doesn't have to happen all at once" this mans voice is beautiful, and this poem brought tears to my eyes. I'd love to see so much more of him
Authentic, if only I could write with even a pinch of that kind of emotion. Excellent work
Wow just wow!
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!
this is one of the most important poems i have ever heard.
Second time listening to this made so much more sense.
What does this poem mean? Sorry I didn't get a lot of it
This poem I think really has to do with taking care of your body. Watching his father have a heart attack puts it through his mind that his father is going through this because he did not take care of his body– this poem is his body demanding that he love it and take care of it otherwise… his body will turn him into the struggling red man on the floor.
Amazing. I saw him perform it in person. It was even better.
Hello all you guys from Button Poetry chanel. I'm from Brazil and I love poetry. I would like to ask you guys if it's any possibility of putting english subtitle on the videos from the chanel. Because I can read very well in english to understand the video. But just listen the poem without subtitle I can't get all of the words and miss the poem at all :(… The youtube "auto-subtitle" does not work very well. I've already tried it but without success… Thank's from Brazil. Love your videos !
'I can take you before you let someone love you…'
This was one of the most emotionally-driven poems I have ever watched/heard. Utterly breath-taking to say the least.
Speechless after this.
That was absolutely amazing, I lose your voice and the way I could see the feelings reflecting in your eyes. I would kind to hear more poems from you.
kudos to the filming/editing people
I've felt how my feelings resembles this poem, thank you very much.
"Iam the long letter on the pillow" wow , just wow . That hit me hard man.
Hi, would someone mind explaining what this poem is about / giving possible interpretation? I'm a bit confused :&
