We have been studying a kind of leukemia
called MLL fusion leukemia we already knew it was driven by the MLL fusion protein and any MLL fusion protein might be able to fuse together
with around 120 different fusion partners so this is why it’s very
difficult to stop it so based on our study we found a protein
it’s called ZFP64 we are able to find that ZFP64 can regulate the
promoter of all the MLL fusion leukemia so when we shut off ZFP64 we are
able to shut off all the MLL fusion proteins having found that MLL
fusion leukemia is specifically addicted to the ZFP64 protein what we want
to do next is find a way to target ZFP64 so it can be used in
clinical trials.
